The Virginia Commonwealth University Health System has open positions in both its Internship Only and MS-DI tracks for January 2027, August 2027 and January 2028 start dates!  We offer concentrations in MNT (at our large, academic medical center), Community, and Sports Nutrition (8-10 weeks of dedicated sports rotations).

Additionally, we offer:

One-on-one dedicated preceptors for all rotations.  We coordinate all rotations/sites so interns’ can focus on their learning and not planning.
Up to 4 weeks of elective rotation time to meet interns’ specific interest areas, with the ability to customize rotation sites for most required rotations.
Strong preparation in clinical, food service, and community, regardless of concentration selected.
Work meant to build understanding and have a lasting impact within our organization and community vs. busy work that checks boxes.
3 faculty, 100% dedicated to the internship to ensure a smooth and seamless process through the program.
Our portal within DICAS reopened this morning, and we will be accepting new applications for any students still looking for a strong, clinically based program that may not have applied during the regular Spring cycle to our program.  Perfect for those also looking to start during the non-traditional start time of January, without needing to wait until the Fall application cycle!
