The DI/MS program at Mount Mary University is an 18-month program that combines supervised practice with earning a master’s Degree in Advanced Dietetics. A few notable features of the program include:
· Individualized placements according to your interests
· A concentration in Disease Prevention and Health Promotion
· Fun networking opportunities with guest speakers and other working professionals in the field
· Online synchronous and asynchronous graduate courses that allow for flexibility.
The DI/MS program at Mount Mary University is a unique program as it is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin: a city with a wealth of diverse experiences available to students in our program. We encourage and promote student involvement in our community by volunteering and making a difference at local food pantries and community gardens, as well as through our local partnerships.
In addition to the exceptional experiences, there are also many job opportunities for Mount Mary graduates. The University is a small, tight-knit community within the city that provides a supportive and nurturing environment due to smaller class sizes and courses taught by experts who make students their priority.
We would also like to highlight an exciting new opportunity: Mount Mary University and Children’s Wisconsin have partnered to provide a brand-new dietetic internship in pediatric nutrition care for students matched to Mount Mary’s DI/MS program. Students who are chosen for this prestigious opportunity will complete their community, management, and medical nutrition therapy rotations on site at Children’s Wisconsin. This unique internship placement is available to a limited number of students each year. We are looking for highly motivated and skilled dietetic interns who are interested in pursuing a future career in pediatric nutrition care.
Please email me if you are interested in setting up a one-on-one meeting to learn more about the Mount Mary DI/MS program, or if you would just like to meet and chat! We are now accepting applications through DICAS (due February 15th).
