Website Garden to Table Nutrition (GTTN)

Garden to Table Nutrition (GTTN) is a reasonably-priced, versatile, distance dietetic internship with two start dates a year. We help interns gain skills in growing and preserving food while also preparing for the varied roles RDNs serve in the workplace. Interns have up to 36 months to complete the programs. Those with relevant experience can get up to 500 hours of prior learning credit, greatly reducing their internship. They can work while doing the internship. We provide extensive support for interns as they prepare for their Registered Dietitian (RD) exam.

We have several fun upcoming open houses. All of our interns have garden-to-table portfolio projects that they do on their own and share with us at one of our Friday meetings. Come to one of the following meetings to see what they have been up to.

February 13, 2026: 10:30 AM PT, 11:30 AM MT, 12:30PM CT, 1:30 PM ET
Funky Freaky Friday — Come hear what our interns have been fermenting and then learn about Garden to Table Nutrition! In the first hour, our interns will present some of their ferments. Past fermentation examples include: garlic, pineapple, sour dough, cheese, kimchi, carrots, and onions. You’ll also have the chance to ask current interns about the internship. After that hour, we’ll have an open house and Q&A with staff about our program. Total Length: about 1.5 hours

March 27, 2026: 12PM PT, 1PM MT, 2PM CT, 3PM ET
Soaking and Sprouting — Come learn about sprouting from interns and learn about Garden to Table Nutrition. As part of our internship, we have interns practice new skills. This month they have been soaking and sprouting grains and beans. Come to our interns’ presentation of their seeds and sprouting adventures. You’ll have the chance to ask current interns about the internship. After that hour, we’ll have an open house and Q&A with staff about our program. Total Length: about 1.5 hours

April 10, 2026: 10:00 AM PT, 11:00 AM MT, 12:00PM CT, 1:00 PM ET 
Pollinators — Come to our open house to learn about Garden to Table Nutrition and then join our intern meeting to hear what our current interns have been learning about pollinators in their area. As part of our internship, we have interns practice new skills. They have spent time learning about pollinators in their neighborhood, about supporting pollinators, and/or finding who is supporting pollinators in their area. Total Length: about 1.5 hours
